Activant Solutions Inc., Yardley, Pa., hit some significant milestones recently, setting the stage for its user summit in New Orleans next month.
The company released a new version of the mobile access platform for its Eclipse enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Activant Eclipse Mobile Advanced builds on functionality available in Eclipse Mobile Basic, allowing distributors to access data and place orders from a wireless device. Activant Eclipse Mobile users can access commonly used Eclipse information such as customer, order, product and pricing information using a wireless mobile device such as a BlackBerry, Motorola Q or Palm Treo.
Activant also installed its 1,200th Prophet 21 distribution management system. PM Industrial Supply Co., a distributor of metalworking cutting tools, coolants and machine shop supplies in Southern California, became the 1,200th user.
The announcements come as Activant prepared for its annual summit conference, to be held in New Orleans in late March. The summit offers Activant wholesale distribution customers educational and networking opportunities.

Summit 2008 is open to all Activant customers using the following enterprise software solutions: Prophet 21, Eclipse, Prelude, Acclaim, Array, D2K, Disc, Faspac, IAS, SDI, Stanpak, Turns and XL.
