Electrical Engineer

Support a multi-year, multi-project program to upgrade building electric service entrances which will include the replacement of primary switches, transformers, and low voltage switchgear and also support ongoing secondary power distribution upgrades. This will require the production of construction plans, specifications, and opinion of cost estimates for projects within the PDC Electrical Design Section. Some projects may require lighting, fire alarm, and security system design as well. Provide engineering services to generate feasibility studies and evaluations of existing infrastructure, write technical reports, and develop or update University construction standards. Perform large project design review of electrical distribution systems. Manage electrical or multidisciplinary capital projects through design and construction by utilizing university personnel and outside consultants and contractors.

Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program and three to five years or more applicable Electrical Facilities Design Experience. Minimum of two years experience with construction and project management of electrical engineering projects.
