Tamper-Resistant Receptacles Meet New NEC Requirement
These 15A tamper-resistant receptacles (duplex and designer styles) conform to the 2008 National Electrical Code. They will be available in February 2008, as will a line of tamper-resistant GFCIs. The wide plastic yoke is unlike the old-fashioned metal yokes, as it cannot become energized and covers the outlet box of exposed terminals or wires. The devices use the patented Cheetah Speed System, which the manufacturer says can slash labor costs by up to 50 percent. Cheetah USA will also be introducing a line of voice and data devices, dimmers, commercial/spec-grade devices and many other products during the first quarter of 2008.
