Springfield Electric Supply Co., Springfield, Ill., is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year with a big bash and a new look. Since opening its first facility in 1932, the family-owned company has grown to employ more than 240 people in 11 locations with total average annual sales exceeding $100 million.

In conjunction with the 75-year milestone, Springfield Electric is rolling out a new corporate identity and branding. “We think this is the perfect time to implement new marketing and advertising campaigns that showcase who we are and what we can do; building Springfield Electric's brand equity for the years ahead,” said Alan Baum, vice president of marketing. “Because Springfield Electric continues to pride itself on strong customer relationships and service without compromise — just as William Schnirring Sr. did in 1932 — we are also implementing a series of new customer service guarantees.”

The company hosted vendor- and customer-appreciation celebrations were on two consecutive evenings at the new Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield. Each of the company's 11 branches will also host a special event during the year to commemorate this special anniversary.

Springfield Electric Supply now has 11 locations: Bloomington, Champaign, Danville, Decatur, East Peoria, Mt. Vernon, Mattoon, Moline, Peru, Rockford, and Springfield, including its residential division, Springfield Electric Lighting & Design (formerly known as the Lighting Center), which has showrooms in Springfield, Bloomington and Champaign.
