Electrical contractor Gibson Electric & Technology Solutions, Downers Grove, Ill., is celebrating its 100th anniversary this summer. During its first century in business, Gibson says it has powered and connected more of Chicagoland than any other electrical contractor, having performed electrical installations on projects such as the Arlington Park Racetrack, CBS Studios, Rush University Medical Center, Astellas Pharmaceutical Headquarters, BMO Harris Bank Headquarters, the Salvation Army Recreation Center, Terminal 5 at O'Hare International Airport and Kirkland & Ellis, the largest tenant build-out in Chicago to date.

A subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Gibson Electric & Technology Solutions is ISO 9001:2008 certified and provides a comprehensive array of electrical and telecommunications services for new construction, retrofits, and renovation projects on everything from airports, hospitals, intelligent highways, data centers and stadiums, to green buildings, high-rises, hotels, tenant build-outs and trading floors.

“Technology changes almost monthly, bold strides in green energy solutions are forever being refined, and the Gibson team is always current with all the latest materials, methods, safety requirements, and regulation changes,” stated Daniel Fitzgibbons, president and CEO of Gibson. “Gibson is at the strongest point in its 100-year history, and we look forward to continuing to set the standard for electrical contracting excellence in the Chicagoland area well into the future.”
