Jeffrey Altine, a facilities manager for Convergent Media Systems, Alpharetta, Ga., won the second grand prize in Universal Lighting Technologies' “Traverse-the-Universe” giveaway, and will soon be headed to Alaska.

This is the second of three grand prize winners in the Nashville-based lighting ballast and control manufacturer's big promotion. Altine was chosen at random to win a seven-day Alaskan cruise. The total prize includes a cruise, round-trip airfare, car rental, and $500 for out-of-pocket expenses.

A certified electrician, Altine is in charge of daily maintenance and upgrade projects at Convergent Media Systems, where he recently installed ULT's AddressPRO digital dimming system. He learned about the Traverse-the-Universe contest through a participating lighting distributor and then registered for the trip giveaway online.

The timing of the prize worked exceptionally well for Altine. “My wife and I are celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary next year, and we plan on using this to take a special trip. I want to thank everyone at Universal Lighting Technologies and Gorin Hopper McCoy (an Atlanta-based rep agency) for the opportunity to take such a special trip during the current economic time.”

The third grand prize will be a week-long stay in Aruba.

In addition to the grand prizes, ULT's promotion included a monthly trivia challenge, gift cards for distributor salespeople and other prizes based on sales of Universal Lighting products.
