Warshauer Electric Supply Opens Fifth Location

Warshauer Electric Supply Co. opened a new location in Little Egg Harbor, N.J., last month. Warshauer Electric, founded in 1954, is one of the largest independently owned electrical wholesalers in the country. In addition to the Little Egg Harbor location Warshauer Electric has locations in Lakewood, Tinton Falls, New Brunswick and Parsippany, N.J.

“We are very excited to have a location in southern Ocean County up and running and open for business,” said James Warshauer, president. “We felt it was critical to be in southern New Jersey to help better serve our existing electrical contractor customers as well as filling a void to give contractors in that area the luxury of a fully stocked location.”

Warshauer Electric Little Egg Harbor is a brand new 15,000 square-foot building serving southern Ocean County as well as all counties south and west of Little Egg Harbor.

Universal Lighting Opens in Montreal

Universal Lighting Technologies, manufacturer of high-efficiency lighting ballasts and control systems, is expanding in Canada. The company has opened a new office in Montreal, Quebec, to manage the company's nationwide sales efforts. The Montreal location will serve as the cornerstone for building brand awareness in Canada, said a Universal Lighting Technologies release.

“Universal Lighting Technologies is reaching out directly to Canadian businesses and facility managers to offer them customized energy management solutions that can slash utility bills,” said Chris Holstein, vice president of marketing. “At the same time, we're committed to our partners in the Canadian distribution channel to ensure they always have the highest quality products and marketing services to grow unit sales year after year. Our new Montreal office will coordinate these efforts nationwide to strengthen the level of customer service we are able to provide to all of our customers.”

Crawford Electric Supply Continues Expansion

Crawford Electric Supply, a subsidiary of Sonepar USA, announced two new locations earlier this year as part of the company's continued expansion throughout Louisiana and Texas.

Crawford's growth in the New Orleans market prompted the company to relocate its branch to a new, 60,000-square-foot building in Metairie, La., less than a year after opening its first Louisiana location. The new facility, less than five miles from downtown New Orleans, presents an opportunity to expand even further in the market, and allows Crawford to serve a wide variety of customers, from large commercial developers to smaller private contractors.

“Our immediate success in this market over the past year is the result of hard work and a ‘whatever it takes’ approach,” said Crawford Electric Chief Executive Officer Craig Levering. “We look forward to providing unmatched service to our growing list of customers in the great state of Louisiana.”

Crawford also announced a branch opening last month in Conroe, Texas, an hour north of Houston. The Conroe facility is in a new building with 25,000 square feet of space, and employs a staff of eight people. The office and counter areas are equipped with energy-saving lighting controls, and efficient fluorescent lighting units are installed throughout the warehouse. Dandy Kellum has been hired as branch manager, and will report to Jason Vaughn.
