Employees from Evergreen Supply Co. and EverLights prepare to plant a pear tree as the finishing touch on a day-long refurbishing of People's Park in Chicago's 10th Ward in late March. As a volunteer project, they raked up 100 bags of leaves, rebuilt the stage, installed new brick pavers, repainted murals on the benches, recovered two giant children's “climbing” turtles, refinished site lighting and planted the tree. Almost the entire staffs of both companies took part.
