2016 West North Central Region Forecast

The decline of oil prices has slowed the boom in the Bakken Region's oil patch, but there’s a much more diverse mix of projects today. A new $2 billion fertilizer plant in Sioux City, Iowa, and the giant National Bio- and Agro-Defense facility in Manhattan, Kan., are highlights of strong growth outside of oil. With estimated growth of 6.5% in 2016 this is the hottest overall growth region in the nation.
