IEWC, Milwaukee, plans to acquire UK-based Argosy Components Ltd., a 31-year-old distributor in the broadcast and communications industries.
Argosy has locations in England, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur and sells products from wire and cable manufacturers including ADC, Belden, Draka, Neutrik, Amphenol, Fujitsu and Percon. The company’s press releases said it’s one of the top TV studio installations materials suppliers in Europe, and that its customers include BBC, Sky, ITV, MTV, NBC, Al Jazeera and Discovery. The IEWC press release said its investment in Argosy enhances the company’s on-going global commitment to the broadcast and communications industries, in addition to expanding its reach within the UK, United Arab Emirates and Malaysia.
