Graybar Co., St. Louis, announced a re-launch of www.graybar.com, a bid to enhance the Graybar customer experience. The site focuses on user-friendliness and convenient access to Graybar solutions and products online. Customers can use the site to manage their business with Graybar according to their own preferences and schedules.

Self-service features give its customers greater control over their business in real-time, including:

  • Pricing and availability, quotes and order placement.

  • Improved product catalog with advanced search and refinement.

  • Personal account information on past orders, invoices and quotes.

  • Capabilities to integrate with their internal procurement systems.

“The re-launch of Graybar.com is about providing our customers with a tool that makes doing business with Graybar even faster, easier and more convenient,” says Dick Offenbacher, Graybar senior vice president - sales and marketing, electrical. “Our online channel is designed to complement personal service and enhance customer relationships.”

At the time of the announcement, shortly after the revised site went live, Graybar account managers reported significant increases in requests processed through the site due to its intuitive format.

Powered by IBM WebSphere Commerce Enterprise software, the new site allows for tight integration with customer systems to encourage supply chain efficiency.
