Littelfuse acquires SymCom

SymCom has sales of approximately $23 million and employs approximately 170 associates. Littelfuse says adding SymCom to its existing mining-focused relay business strengthens the company's position in the industrial market.  

Littelfuse Inc., Chicago, has completed the acquisition of SymCom Inc., Rapid City, S.D., a manufacturer of overload relays and pump controllers primarily for the industrial market. The company has sales of approximately $23 million and employs approximately 170 associates. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. In a press release announcing the acquisition, Dan Stanek, V.P. and general manager, Protection Relays and Custom Electrical Products for Littelfuse, said, “The acquisition of SymCom is an important step forward in our strategy to diversify and grow the Littelfuse protection relay platform. Adding SymCom to our existing mining-focused relay business strengthens our position in the broader industrial market.” Details
