Wire and cable manufacturer Service Wire Co., Culloden, W.Va., is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Since its founding in 1968, the company has grown into a strong specialty wire manufacturer.

Now, with three manufacturing locations — Culloden, W.Va.; Phoenix; and Houston — along with a sales office in Pittsburgh, the company has established itself as a supplier to the industrial, utility, heavy commercial and pump and irrigation markets. The three factory warehouses maintain large inventories and complete cutting capabilities which allow for on-time shipment and 24-hour emergency service. These facilities provide distributors with next/second day deliveries to most of the continental United States.

“Our manufacturing approach allows us to provide our distributors with exceptional service,” says Louis Weisberg, president of Service Wire. “Our company's commitment to each customer's individual needs has contributed to our steady growth.”

All products are made in America, and reinforced by an ISO-registered internal quality system covering employee training, goal setting and continuous improvement. The company has several employees who have been with Service Wire since the inception, many second-generation employees and numerous internal promotions.

“Our employee culture is a key component to being a successful second-generation, independently owned business,” said Weisberg. “We have a long-term focus on the wire and cable business and are looking forward to a third generation of employees and a strong future.”
