At Cooper Lighting, Elk Grove Village, Ill., four area sales managers have been promoted to vice president, each with responsibility for a different quadrant

At Cooper Lighting, Elk Grove Village, Ill., four area sales managers have been promoted to vice president, each with responsibility for a different quadrant of the United States. Brian Wittig is Eastern area vice president. Mike Joseph is Southern area vice president. Joe Fox is Pacific area vice president. Greg Reddick is Midwestern vice president.

At Pass & Seymour/Legrand, Syracuse, N.Y., Bob Smith has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing. Smith most recently was vice president of sales. As part of a marketing restructuring, the company has announced three new marketing managers: William Brod has been named commercial marketing manager; Dean Pournaras has been named residential marketing manager; and John Currall has been named industrial marketing manager. Additionally, Rodney Long will be South and Southcentral regional manager and assumes sales in that area. Mark Barthel will assume the responsibilities for the Central and Eastern sales regions.

Paul Johnson has been named manager, international marketing, at Littelfuse, Inc., Des Plaines, Ill.

At Dealers Electrical Supply, Waco, Texas, Phil Ayers has been promoted to industrial account manager for the Longview, Lufkin, Marshall, and Tyler, Texas, branches. Previously he was sales manager for the Longview and Marshall branches. Harold Wellbaum has been promoted to project sales manager for the South Austin, Texas, branch. Previously he was sales manager of the Waco branch.

At W.W. Grainger, Inc., Chicago, Ill., Donald E. Belinski has been named group president, responsible for emerging business, which includes Grainger Integrated Supply Operations. Wesley M. Clark has been named group president, responsible for the company's branch-based businesses, Acklands-Grainger, Inc., Canada, and Parts Company of America. John A. Schweig has been named senior vice president, business development and international.

At Control Concepts, Binghamton, N.Y., Bob Daniel has been named president. Previously he was director of commercial engineering at U.S. Electrical Motors, a subsidiary of Emerson Electric. He succeeds Pat Gillette, who has moved into the position of chairman of the company in preparation for his retirement in early 1999. Gary Cornwell has been appointed applications engineer.

William L. Goldstein has retired as vice president of sales at Wheelock, Inc., Long Branch, N.J.

At Greenlee Textron, Rockford, Ill., Joel B. Smith as been named Western division sales manager. Most recently he was in operational and sales management with Kellsport Industries in Rhode Island. Neil Burns has been appointed territory manager for Toronto, Ontario, east to the Quebec border. Previously he held sales positions in the chemical and lubrication field in Ontario and was assistant regional manager at DeVry Institutes of Technology. Mark Johnson has been named territory manager for eastern Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. Previously he was an outside salesman and sales manager for Makita USA, Inc.

At Alkco Lighting, Franklin Park, Ill., James F. Haworth has been named company vice president and general manager, and is responsible for the development and implementation of management and overall plans for company products worldwide. He replaced Joseph Incrocci, who has been promoted to new duties with Alkco's parent company, JJI Lighting Group, Inc., Greenwich, Conn.

Fred Morelli was named to succeed Ed Berman as president of Allied Electric Supply Co., Pittsburgh, Pa. Berman will remain with Allied as chairman. Morelli plans to eventually acquire the company.

Thomas V. Daily was named vice president of operations at Lightolier, Fall River, Mass. Previously he was vice president and general manager at Aeroquip.

At Williams Supply, Inc., Roanoke, Va., Aimee Poff has been named branch manager of the Lighting Design Center in Roanoke. She was previously assistant manager. Don Tingler has been named sales and marketing manager. Most recently he was branch manager for Williams Lighting Design Center. At the company's new Farmville branch Ronnie Richardson is branch manager; Terry Motley is construction sales manager; Mitch Adams is counter supervisor; and Jay Stewart is counter sales.

At the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, Rosslyn, Va., the board of governors announced the following leadership lineup at its annual meeting: Jim McClung, president and chief executive officer of Lithonia Lighting, was elected NEMA chairman; Thomas J Malott, president and CEO of Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc., Clyde Moore, president and CEO of Thomas & Betts Corp. and Peter McIlroy II, chairman, president and CEO for Robroy Industries, Inc., were elected vice chairmen; Jean-Paul Montupet, executive vice president for Emerson Electric, was named treasurer; Steven R. Abbott, president and CEO for Essex Group, Inc., was named assistant treasurer; and Alexander Cutler, president and chief operating officer for Eaton Corp., becomes immediate past chairman and a board member. The group also elected the following board members: Ake Almgren, president and CEO, ABB Power T&D Co., Inc.; Jack Briody, president, Advance Transformer Co.; Jodie Glore, president, Rockwell Automation; Neal Kluger, president and CEO, Eagle Electric Manufacturing Co.; Dean Langford, president, Osram Sylvania, Inc.; Lloyd Trotter, president and CEO, GE Electrical Distribution & Control; and Richard Crouch, president, Hypotherm, Inc. Jack Ratcliffe, chairman, president and CEO, Hubbell, Inc., and Bill Boehm, CEO, Connector Manufacturing Co., were appointed to serve one- and two-year terms respectively.

Mark Knebusch has been named INTERBUS group director at Phoenix Contact, Inc., Harrisburg, Pa., responsible for strategic planning and development of the INTERBUS product line in the U.S.

At AFC Cable Systems, New Bedford, Mass., William E. Colbert has been named Southern sales manager. Most recently, he was sales development manager for Hubbell Electrical Products. James C. Kavanagh has been named Midwest sales manager. Previously, he was sales manager for the Great Lakes region of the Hubbell Electrical Products Group.

At Supply Division, a Genlyte company, Union, N.J., Christopher B. McIntyre has been named Southern regional sales manager responsible for sales of all Stonco and Crescent lighting products. David C. Silverman has been appointed Midwest regional sales manager. Previously he was Central regional sales manager for Lightalarms Electronics Corp.

Kirk Hachigian has been named vice president, Asia Pacific, at GE Lighting, Cleveland, Ohio. Previously, he was president of GE-Mexico.

MaryBeth Harner was named marketing manager for the cast-iron-outdoor-lighting divisions of Spring City Electrical Manufacturing Co., Spring City, Pa.

At Greenlee Textron, Inc., Rockford, Ill., Anthony W. Holt was named account executive for utility markets. Mark Hettinger was named territory manager for Virginia. Previously, he was in retail sales at Makita Power Tools. Ed Staple was named president of Textron Aero Fasteners, Santa Ana, Calif. Previously, he was vice president of sales and marketing at Greenlee. Mary Lewis was promoted to director of customer support and communications. She was formerly marketing communication manager.

Edward J. Kramer was named marketing director of the MetroLux Lighting division of Quality Lighting, Franklin Park, Ill.

At Siecor Corp., Hickory, N.C., Sanford D. Lyons has been named executive vice president of operations. Previously, he was vice president and director of strategic planning and business development. He succeeds Peter F. Volanakis, who is returning to Corning, Inc., as senior vice president and general manager for the Advanced Display Products division.

Ron Allison has been named switchgear quotations manager at Dominion Electric Supply Co., Arlington, Va.

At Allied Tube & Conduit, Harvey, Ill., Charles Humphreys was named vice president and general manager of the Allied Support Systems division. Kris Weger has been named vice president, sales and marketing. Gregg Dohm was appointed vice president of manufacturing.

Thomas J. McGavin, executive vice president of the Siemens-Furnas business unit in Batvia, Ill., received the 1997 Kite and Key Award from the National Electrical Manufacturers Association for advancing the electrical industry through service to NEMA and allied organizations.

Retiring after 50 years in the electro-industry, Crawley A.L. Parris, senior industry manager and program manager for the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), Rosslyn, Va., received a special tribute from NEMA's board of governors and leaders in the electrical manufacturing industry during the association's leadership conference in Washington, D.C. Parris played a pivotal role in development of standards for traffic control and fire protection.
