Green Mountain Electric Supply, Newport, Vt., recently acquired the Oneonta and Watervliet, N.Y., branches of Allied Electric, Cobleskill, N.Y. Allied will continue to operated out of its main facility, as it has done for more than 30 years. Randy Kuchenmeister, president Electrical Distributor Consulting, Shelby Township, Mich., orchestrated the acquisition. He said that additional details of the transaction would not be disclosed.
These two branches in upstate New York give Green Mountain Electric Supply a total of 10 branches in Vermont, New Hampshire and New York. The company was founded in 1953 and has expanded by acquisition and internal growth over the past 50-plus years.
