Standard Electric Supply’s Waltham branch is now home to the Energy Lab -- the company's first eco-friendly, interactive display center t to create exposure for energy-efficient products and services that exist within the electrical marketplace today.

To demonstrate a wide variety of “go-green” offerings available, Standard  Electric Supply has partnered with the following manufacturers to present their newest initiatives inside of the center: Philips Lighting, Cooper Lighting, Leviton, Lutron and Cooper Crouse-Hinds. Each manufacturer has a section in the room to display their featured products, along with educational take-away literature for the lab’s visitors. An official grand open house was held on Dec. 3 for the public to visit the Lab. Representatives for each of the manufacturing partners will be in attendance along with the Standard Electric team behind the project.

“It’s really been a collaborative effort partnering with our manufacturers and bringing into one space all of the current solutions for energy savings,” says Fred Forsgard, Vice President of Contractor Sales and Marketing. “I’m really proud of our team and the work that everyone’s put in.

“We’re all extremely excited that we’ve finally turned this concept into a reality. What started as general conversation with customers at a tradeshow last year has turned into an opportunity to educate and create awareness of today’s energy market.”
