Halco Lighting Technologies, Norcross, Ga., announced the promotion of David Nelkin to Vice President, Product and Supply Chain Operations. His most recent role was director of product development for Halco.
“We are excited to announce the promotion of David Nelkin to Vice President, Product and Supply Chain Operations,” said Kim Cook, President. “Through his hard work and dedication to Halco, David has had many successes over the years, and we are confident in his ability to continue this success.”
Nelkin joined Halco in 2006 as product development manager, where he refined his skills in product development, management and sourcing. Some of his many successes in this position include creating and growing strong relationships at manufacturing facilities and the introduction of numerous products, including the ProLume ballast category, Halco said in a release.
After he was promoted to director of product development in January 2008, Nelkin developed the ProLED product line, created the Halco Lighting Laboratory and built the entire product organization including product managers, product specialists, product analysts and lab technicians.
Now reporting to President Kim Cook, Nelkin’s responsibilities will include the entire supply chain from product inception and procurement through pricing, quality control, logistics and order fulfillment.
