Bill Genne, distribution manager for Cutler-Hammer/Eaton Corp., Moon Township, Pa., retired effective Aug. 31. He had been with the company for 45 years, beginning his career as a sales engineer. After progressing through district, region and marketing manager positions, he became the general sales manager for Cutler-Hammer. His last assignment prior to the merger of Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer was worldwide distribution manager. He had been distribution manager for the past seven years. After 38 years of service with Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer, Wayne Murphy, manager of distribution, retired effective Aug. 1. He will continue to provide advisory services to the company. He began his career with Westinghouse in a variety of sales and marketing assignments in various business groups with a concentration in distribution and control. He later became international manager for England and northern Europe. For the past 13 years, he was the manager of distribution for Westinghouse and the Cutler-Hammer business.

Siemens Energy & Automation Inc., Alpharetta, Ga., has appointed Dale Wilson, vice president, general sales division. He will direct all sales activities of the company's industrial products, power distribution and residential businesses. He was previously Rockwell Automation's vice president for the Canadian region and USA northeast.

Joel Bateman has been appointed executive vice president, marketing and global business development, for Hagemeyer North America, Atlanta. He was previously executive vice president of marketing for Cameron & Barkley Co. Bateman will continue his leadership responsibilities in the sales and negotiations of integrated supply contracts.

Cooper Industries Inc., Houston, has named Roger Shea vice president, Cooper Canada. He was previously vice president of marketing for Cooper Lighting.

Jacqueline Postiglione, national administrative manager for The Farnsworth Group, has been elected and installed president of the St. Louis Electrical Board, St. Louis, for fiscal 2001-2002. She is the first woman to hold the position, which was most recently held by Roger Oertli, president of Guarantee Electrical Construction Co. Other officers elected to the board were: James Will, Gateway Electrical Sales, first vice president; David Schenk, Philips Lighting Co., second vice president; and Terry Sater, Sachs Electric Co., treasurer.

Cooper Lighting, Peachtree City, Ga., has named Michael Moore vice president, marketing. Moore was the principal owner and president of Corelite before Cooper Lighting acquired Corelite in 1999.

Jayme Meyers has been appointed the eastern United States sales manager for Bridgeport Fittings, Stratford, Conn. Meyers was previously eastern regional sales manager for ILSCO.

Noland Co., Newport News, Va., has announced the following appointments. Richard Sturges has been named manager for the Knoxville, Tenn., branch. John Martin has been named manager for the Nashville, Tenn., branch. David Hullings has been appointed manager for the Macon, Ga., branch. Steve Jones has been appointed manager of Noland's industrial distribution center in Richmond, Va.

Tristate Electrical & Electronics Supply Co., Hagerstown, Md., has named Randy Brumbelow chief financial officer. Most recently, Brumbelow was the controller and chief financial officer of Transamerica Retail Financial Services and Transamerica Bank, N.A.

Platt Electric Supply Inc., Beaverton, Ore., has appointed Bob Boxall branch manager of the Boise branch. Boxall brings over two decades of experience in the electrical industry. He was most recently a manager for GE Supply.

Allen Rose has been named senior staff scientist in charge of current sensor metrology for NxtPhase Corp., Phoenix. Most recently, Rose was the project leader for the U.S. National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) interferometry and polarimetry project.

Scott Bracey has been named president and chief operating officer for Dealers Electrical Supply, Waco, Texas. He was most recently executive vice president and chief operating officer of the company. Dealers has also announced the appointment of several branch managers. Keith Maberry has been named manager of the Waco, Texas, branch. Randy White has been named manager for the Dallas branch. Charlie Hinkle has been appointed branch manager at Duncanville, Texas, and J.D. Bookout has been appointed branch manager in Cleburne, Texas.

William Goodwin, chief operating officer of Griffith Electric Supply Co. Inc., Trenton, N.J., has been elected to the board of directors for the company.

Pamela Horner, manager of general lighting education at Osram Sylvania, Danvers, Mass., has been elected president of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA).

Eric Bescoby has been named chief executive officer of Catalina Lighting Inc., Miami. He was previously president of JTECH Communications Inc.

Connector Manufacturing Co., Hamilton, Ohio, has named Joseph Klenk president and chief operating officer, and has been appointed as a director on the board. Klenk previously held vice president and director positions within the company.

Sam Bond has been named electrical division Southeast regional sales manager for Wheatland Tube Co., Collingswood, N.J. He will cover the territory extending from Mississippi and Tennessee east to Virginia and Maryland and covering all points south.

LSI Industries Inc., Cincinnati, has appointed Dennis Meyer to the LSI Industries board of directors. Meyer also serves on the board of directors and executive committee of Midmark Corp., where was executive vice president from 1985 to his retirement earlier this year.

Fred Rampone has been promoted to central regional manager for Ferraz Shawmut, Newburyport, Mass. He has been with the company since 1996, most recently as a regional OEM development manager. Don Harnois has been promoted to northeastern OEM development manager. He's been with the company for more than 15 years. Greg Kirchner has been appointed central OEM development manager. He was most recently a district sales engineer for the Bussman Fuse Division of Cooper Industries.

Frederick Krehbiel and Wesley Clark have been appointed to the board of directors for W.W. Grainger Inc., Chicago. Krehbiel is co-chairman of Molex Inc. and director of Molex, Tellabs Inc., The Northern Trust Co. and DeVry Inc. Clark is currently president and chief operating officer of Grainger.
