Our World from a Different Perspective: 10 Great Images of Earth from the Space Station

NASA’s recent announcement that the gravitational waves Albert Einstein predicted as part of his general theory of relativity a century ago  got me thinking about massive the universe really is. It also encouraged me to check out what’s happening on the Space Station. Over the past year, Astronaut Scott Kelly and the other folks on the Space Station have been sending back some awesome photos of Mother Earth for us all to see and I have collected some of best in this gallery.

One of the more interesting experiments NASA is conducting during Kelly’s year in space is to see the impact of long-term weightlessness on his body, and comparing any signs of aging or decay to his identical twin, Mark Kelly, who is also an astronaut back here on earth.
