BlueVolt names new president and general manager

BlueVolt has hired Douglas Gastich as president and general manager.

BlueVolt (Portland, Ore.):  This developer of learning management system (LMS) for businesses in the service and manufacturing industries, announced today that Douglas Gastich has joined the company as president and general manager. In his new position, he will drive the continued growth of the company and manage the day-to-day operations. He succeeds outgoing president, Don Spear, who remains at BlueVolt as chairman.

Gastich brings to BlueVolt more than 15 years of experience with service and agency companies, software product companies, and digital educational platforms. He most recently served as vice president of business development and strategy at Portland-based Learning.com, a learning platform that provides digital literacy content for the K-12 space. Gastich holds a BA in studio art and computer science from Boston College, and is a member of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network and the Northwest Education Cluster. He also serves as a board member of GLOBIO, a nonprofit focused on connecting children across the world on topics of biodiversity.
