George Dickey, Champion Wire & Cable's western regional manager, died Dec. 10, just two days short of his 42nd birthday, of a massive heart attack.

Dickey began his career in 1988 working as a salesman for King Wire & Cable in California. In 1995 he joined Champion Wire & Cable in Phoenix. In 2000, Dickey became Champion's western regional manager.

Dickey served his country in a U.S. Army Special Forces unit as a Green Beret.

Dickey was a single parent. He is survived by his three children, Travis, 17, Sarah, 14, and Aislinn, 12.

The family has asked in lieu of sending plants or flowers that a donation be made to his children. A fund has been set up on behalf of his mother, Patricia Dickey, for the children's future. Arnold Jones, president and CEO of Williams Supply Inc., Roanoke, Va., died Nov. 26. He was 60 years old.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Margaret Ann; his daughter Janet Womack and her husband, Randy; his daughter Suzanne Jones; his son Todd and his wife, Becky; his parents, Rev. Jimmie Jones and Audrey Palmer Jones; his brother, J.T. Jones; and his grandchildren, Benjamin and Alayna Jones.
