Benfield Electric Supply Co. (White Plains, N.Y.): Daniel J. McLaughlin has been appointed president and chief executive officer. McLaughlin was formerly senior executive vice president, sales and marketing. Additionally, Roy C. Kohli has been appointed chairman. Kohli was formerly president and CEO.

Hagemeyer North America (Atlanta): Hagemeyer NA has united its existing strategic sourcing and marketing groups, and Lisa Mitchell has been appointed to lead this team as executive vice president. Formerly, Mitchell served as senior vice president, strategic sourcing.

Eoff Electric Supply (Salem, Ore.): Jim Holmes has been promoted to district manager after managing the Eugene, Ore., store for more than 18 years. Rick Kinports has been promoted to branch manager of the Eugene branch. Formerly, Kinports was an industrial automation specialist at the branch.

Fromm Electric Supply Corp. (Reading, Pa.): John Hanna has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer. Hanna joined Fromm in 1998 as construction sales manager and most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing. Kirk Ericsson has been named director of industrial/OEM sales; Randy Quirin was named director of commercial construction sales; and Lou Fromm was named director of residential construction sales. Company President Michael Fromm will take on the additional title of chief executive officer, succeeding Bernie Fromm, who will remain company chairman.

Arlington Industries Inc. (Scranton, Pa.): Don Ambrose Jr. has been appointed Southern regional sales manager. Formerly with WESCO, Ideal Industries, and Maple Chase/Firex, Ambrose brings more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience.

Graybar (St. Louis): Juanita H. Hinshaw announced she will retire from her positions as senior vice president, chief financial officer and director effective May 2. D. Beatty D'Alessandro, who currently serves as vice president and chief information officer as well as a member of the board of directors, will succeed Hinshaw as senior vice president and CFO.

Beacon Light & Supply Co. (Hartford, Conn.): Barry Goldberg has been named senior vice president and general manager. Goldberg joins Beacon Light from GE Supply where he managed the Connecticut operation. Additionally, Kevin Trager has been named vice president of operations.

W.W. Grainger Inc. (Lake Forest, Ill.): Laura D. Brown has been appointed vice president, marketing. Brown joined Grainger in 2000 as a vice president in the Internet business group and served most recently as vice president for market planning. Debra S. Oler has been appointed vice president, marketing and sales effectiveness. Oler has also been temporarily given expanded responsibility for the sales organization. She joined Grainger in 2002 as regional sales vice president for the North Central region. She became vice president, sales operations in 2003.

Obituaries

Charles “Chuck” Guttadore, former president of Electric Motor & Control Corp. (EMCORP), died March 13. He was 78 years old.

Guttadore was president and chairman of EMCORP, Columbus, Ohio, until selling the company to McNaughton-McKay in 1996. Guttadore also served as NAED chairman from 1993 to 1994.

John J. Sedlacek, who spent more than 40 years in the electrical industry, died Feb. 26. He was 80 years old.

Sedlacek's electrical career included stints with ITE Circuit Breaker Co., GTE/Sylvania, Challenger Electrical Equipment Corp. and Westinghouse. Sedlacek retired in 1991.
