Roger Shea has been appointed vice president, marketing for Cooper Lighting, Elk Grove, Ill. Shea, most recently vice president of sales and marketing for Cooper Lighting, Canada, joined Cooper in 1978.

Daniel Perry has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp., Brookfield, Wis. He has 28 years of experience with the company and was most recently president and general manager of the Milwaukee Electric Tool Brand Co.

Kirby Risk Electrical Supply, Lafayette, Ind., has announced the following appointments: Brooke Bales has been appointed division manager of the Connersville, Ind., location. He was previously division manager of the Richmond, Ind., location. David Heaviland has been appointed division manager of the location at Kokomo, Ind. He was previously director of electric motor repair, overseeing the Lafayette, Ind.; Marion, Ind.; Muncie, Ind; and Anderson, Ind., locations.

Jeffrey Immelt has been named president and chairman-elect of General Electric Co., Fairfield, Conn., by the company's board of directors. He will succeed John Welch, GE's chairman and chief executive officer, when Welch retires at the end of 2001. Immelt was most recently president and chief executive officer of GE Medical Systems.

Robert Nardelli has been named president and chief executive officer of Home Depot Inc., Atlanta, and a member of the company's board of directors. Previously, he was president and chief executive officer of GE Power Systems.

Dallas Buchanan has been named vice president, sales and marketing for A.L.P. Lighting Components Inc., Niles, Ill. He was most recently regional director of SLI Lighting Solutions.

Cantex Inc., Mineral Wells, Texas, has promoted Mark Flanagan to regional sales manager for the eastern third of the United States. He was previously an administrative assistant for the company's retail division.

GS Metals Corp., Pinckneyville, Ill., has appointed Jon Taylor and Tracey McHale as regional sales managers for the Flextray cable management systems product line. Taylor will be sales manager for the central region. He was formerly national account manager with CommScope. McHale, formerly a district sales manager for Homaco, will be responsible for sales in the Northeast region.

North East Electrical Distributors, a division of Sonepar, Stoughton, Mass., has named Scott Gnong vice president of operations. He was previously director of the division's branch sales in eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Fred Rockafellow has been named manager of the new Dallas distribution facility for Crescent Electric Supply Co., East Dubuque, Ill. He has previously held sales, marketing, manufacturing and management positions within the industry.

Jim O'Hallaron has resigned as president of the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), St. Louis. Although he has accepted the position of president with the Missouri Society of CPAs, O'Hallaron will remain involved with NAED to oversee the transition of leadership. Bill Zillman, vice president of Member Services for NAED, is leaving NAED to return to his hometown of Chicago.

Robert Sambor, vice president of the western region for Panduit Corp., Tinley Park, Ill., died Oct. 4 in his home in Scottsdale, Ariz. He was 57 years old. Sambor spent 28 years with Panduit. The Korean War veteran was vice president of the Western region since 1991. He is survived by his wife, Terry; daughter, Kristen Wyatt; son, Mikael; two grandchildren; a stepfather, Walter Kiepura; and brother, Walter.
