Eaton Corp. (Cleveland): Richard Holder has been named president of the newly formed Electrical Components Organization reporting to Jerry Whitaker, president - Americas Region, Eaton's Electrical Sector. He will be located at the company's Electrical Sector headquarters in Cherrington, Penn. Holder joined Eaton in 2001 as vice president, Supply Chain and Operational Excellence, in the company's Electrical Group. He earned a B.A. in aviation management from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill., and a M.B.A. in business from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo.
In other news at Eaton, Kenneth Narod has been named to the new position of segment director - U.S. Government, effective March 1. He will report to Jeffrey Krakowiak, Eaton's senior vice president - sales and marketing. In this role, Narod will work directly with sales and marketing leaders in Eaton's electrical, hydraulics and vehicle businesses to develop a coordinated approach to growing sales with the U.S. government in these areas. Throughout his 31-year tenure with Eaton, Narod has held numerous sales leadership positions and currently serves as vice president - Channel for the Electrical Sector's Americas Region.
Graybar Electric Co. (St. Louis): Rick Harvey will be district vice president for the company's New York regional operations effective Feb. 1. Harvey succeeds Chris Olsen, who will retire after six years in the position and more than 35 years with Graybar. Graybar's New York district is one of 13 operating districts for the company, serving eastern New York, New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. Before being named district vice president, Harvey served as director of comm/data sales for Graybar's Chicago district, and has been with the company for 26 years.
Robroy Industries, Conduit Division (Gilmer, Texas): Bill Fisher has been appointed national sales manager. Prior to joining Robroy Industries, Fisher was with United Copper Industries (UCI), Denton, Texas, a manufacturer of copper building wire. While at UCI, he held several sales management posts. Fisher earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University.
Halco Lighting Technologies (Norcross, Ga.): Steve Syers is now senior sales manager - customer support. Syers will be reporting to Jim Coleman, V.P. of sales, and will assume overall responsibility for account representatives and customer service. Syers has a B.S. in business administration from Illinois State University and brings 19 years of experience in B2B sales and the service industry. Syers was previously president of Franchise Gator before the company was sold.
In other news at Halco, Jan McQuain is now national accounts manager. She reports to Jim Coleman and will be establishing a support system for specification sales between national end-user accounts and Halco's distribution network. McQuain attended Westbark College, is a member of the Atlanta Society of Training and Development, has obtained several certifications including TQM Certification for ISO-9001 and is High Performance Leadership Certified.
Hein Electric Supply Co. (Brookfield, Wis.): Chris Stoming was promoted to vice president. He joined Hein Electric Supply in 2006 as the V.P. of sales and marketing, and has more than 20 years of industry experience, including a stint at Panduit that began in 1987. Stoming is a graduate of Purdue University.
CN Robinson Lighting Supply Co. (Baltimore): John McIntyre has been promoted to V.P. He was previously director of construction sales and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
National Association of Electrical Distributors (St. Louis): Andrew Akers, vice president of D&S Electrical Supply Co., Pocatello, Idaho, is NAED's incoming Western Region vice president-elect and will serve his term in 2011-2012. Bill Squires, vice president of SMC Electric Supply in Springfield, Mo., currently holds the post. Beginning in May, Rocklan Lawrence, president and CEO of National Electric Supply Inc., in Albuquerque, N.M., will take up the regional leadership for 2010-2011.
Allied Wire & Cable (Collegeville, Pa.): Sean Brennan is now a sales rep for the company. He graduated from West Chester University in 2005 with a B.A. degree in business management. The company hired eight sales representatives in 2009.
Siemens Corp. (New York): Eric Spiegel will lead the company's U.S. operations as president and CEO of Siemens Corp. He was previously senior vice president and senior partner at Booz & Co. and brings more than 25 years of experience in the energy, manufacturing and utility industries. Based in Washington, D.C., Spiegel will drive the company's efforts in sustainability and green technologies while further serving as a voice on policy issues that affect Siemens and its customers. He also becomes a member of the Siemens AG managing board. Originally from Ohio, Spiegel holds a B.A. in economics from Harvard University and a MBA from the Tuck Graduate School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Warshauer Electric Supply (Tinton Falls, N.J.): Gene Fay has been hired as vice president of energy solutions. He comes to Warshauer from Siemens where he spent the last seven years as a channel marketing manager for the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. The company' new Energy Solutions division encompasses its Solar Energy and Lighting Energy Retrofit groups.
Bridgeport Fittings (Stratford, Conn.): In his new position as technical sales manager, Erik Senseney will train Bridgeport's representatives and distributors and provide technical support to Bridgeport's customers. He will report to David Turk, vice president of sales and marketing. Senseney comes to Bridgeport Fittings with an extensive electrical contracting background, including project superintendent at Interstate Electrical Contractors in Wheatridge, Colo., where he supervised high-profile construction projects at the U.S. Mint, Colorado Convention Center and the U.S. Air Force Academy. He also has been certified and licensed as a master electrician, journeyman electrician and electrical lineman. A graduate of the University of Colorado and currently a resident of Fairfield, Conn., Senseney is also a decorated U.S. Air Force serviceman.
EGS/Emerson Industrial Automation (Rosemont, Ill.): John Hargis was promoted to Western Region director with responsibility for the southwest United States for all EGS brands, including SolaHD, Appleton and O-Z/Gedney. Hargis joined EGS as a region manager for SolaHD in Texas in 2004, and most recently was director of sales for SolaHD. In his new role, Hargis will lead the transition from a direct sales force to a hybrid sales team, which will include independent reps, in southern California. He will also be covering northern California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii. In other EGS news, Tom Pankratz, the company's vice president of sales, will assume day-to-day sales leadership of SolaHD, with U.S. SolaHD region managers now reporting to him.
Intermatic Inc. (Spring Grove, Ill.): Rick Boutilier is now president and CEO. He started at Intermatic as CFO in 2004 and was promoted to COO in 2008. Gary Koetters was named vice president of sales from director of industrial and retail sales. He has more than 20 years of experience in the retail sector and helped execute Intermatic's retail product exit strategy. In other company news, Deb Peterson was promoted to vice president of marketing and product development. She joined Intermatic in 2006 and was formerly senior vice president of Motient.
