The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), Washington, D.C., has an interesting online tool to identify schools with solar potential. A SEIA study revealed that of the 125,000 schools in the country, between 40,000 and 72,000 can go solar cost-effectively. In 2014, the SEIA study says there were 3,752 K-12 schools in the United States with solar installations.
