Frost Electric Supply, Maryland Heights, Mo., is celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2009. In celebration, the company is adopting a new name and expanded product and service offerings, as well as opening a new state-of-the-art sales center at its Maryland Heights headquarters.

“Our new branding captures our electrical heritage, but also reflects Frost's additional areas of expertise beyond what has historically been found at an electrical distributor,” said Frost Executive Vice President Jeff Frost. “We are moving forward with the ‘Frost’ name, only, since we offer our customers so much more than just electrical supplies.”

The new Frost Sales Center opened for business on Dec. 1, 2008 and boasts an environment more typically found at a retail store as opposed to the traditional branch counter. The Frost Sales Center also includes a new “T.E.C.” Center dedicated to “training, educating and consulting” with customers. The T.E.C. Center features an energy-saving lighting plan, industrial and automation controls, voice and data demonstrations, as well as providing a unique environment for customer training events.

Frost has also dedicated itself to providing customers with the latest in environmentally friendly products and solutions through the launch of its “Green Choice” program. Customers will be able to easily identify “green” products displayed at various locations throughout the Sales Center. Within the next year, Frost plans to apply much of its new Sales Center model to its branch locations in St. Louis City, O'Fallon and Columbia, Mo.; and Collinsville and Lebanon, Ill.

“It became evident there was an opportunity to become an industry leader by evolving the traditional distributor business model to one much more consultative and service-oriented,” said Frost President John Frost.
