Fred and Jilla Farzan, co-founders of Nora Lighting, Commerce, Calif., were honored by the showroom cooperative Lighting One with the organization’s Humanitarian Award. The award was present at the Lighting One convention in Dallas during Lightovation.

The annual award is presented to a Lighting One supplier who has exemplified the mission of promoting human welfare and social reform, said Angie Prost, Lighting One product and supplier manager.

“Nora Lighting was selected as this year’s recipient because of their depth of charitable projects and contributions. They have supported a wide scope of philanthropic organizations, including local charities, national programs and international causes,” said Prost. “We chose to recognize them for their clear commitment to making their community and the world a better place.”

Among the many groups that Nora has supported are: Homes For Our Troops, No Kid Hungry, Habitat for Humanity, PATH Homeless Programs, Vista Del Mar and Hillview Acres children’s homes, youth sports programs, and more.
