Rick Reffler, Turtle & Hughes
Turtle &Hughes (Linden, N.J.): Long-time employee Richard (Rick) Reffler has been appointed president. Reffler joined the company in 1996 and has served in several leadership positions, most recently as executive V.P. of the executive committee. Reffler joined Turtle & Hughes as manager of its Plainfield, N.J., branch after serving as officer and part owner of Northern Electric Supply Co., South Plainfield, N.J. Reffler helped create several of Turtle & Hughes’ technical groups, including Data Communications, Green Energy Solutions, New York Lighting, and Marketing. He further took part in guiding the company's growth through acquisitions and branch expansions with a focus on national accounts.
Fulham Co. (Hawthorne, Calif.): The company’s board of directors announced that Robert Howard-Anderson has been appointed CEO. He comes to Fulham following nine years as CEO of Occam Networks Inc., growing the company from start-up status to $100 million-plus in less than six years. Howard-Anderson has an extensive history of technology management and successful mergers and acquisitions.Over the past eight months, COO Harry Libby, CFO Jim White and CTO/EVP Jim Obbink, jointly acted as Fulham’s Office of the President, and they will report to Howard-Anderson.
Vance Smith, Burndy
Burndy (Manchester, N.H.): Vance Smith has joined the company’s U.S. sales organization as the South Central regional sales manager. He joined the team Sept. 16 and reports to Warren Jenkins, V.P. sales and marketing. He comes to Burndy from Rockwell Automation, where he served as channel manager–Gulf Coast Region. Previously, Smith worked at Panduit for five years in numerous sales roles. He has a BS in agricultural development from Texas A&M University.
Ron Devorsky, Burndy
Kichler, Lighting (Cleveland): Ron Devorsky is now national sales manager. He comes to Kichler after spending 24 years with Sherwin-Williams, most recently as the V.P. of sales. Devorsky has a BA in bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hiram College.
Border States Electric (Fargo, N.D.): Adam Guderian is now senior IT applications manager. Guderian will provide leadership and direction in the management of IT enterprise applications, digital applications, and development as well as setting technology direction in software and portal applications and development. He has over 10 years of IT experience, most recently with Doosan as the supply chain systems manager. Guderian has master’s degrees in business administration and industrial and system engineering.
Yokogawa Electric Corp. (Newnan, Ga.): This automation and control manufacturer named Rene Aldana to be managing director of Yokogawa Canada Inc. Aldana will be responsible for overseeing all Yokogawa business operations in Canada. Aldana has close to 20 years of experience in automation solutions for the oil and gas industry and has a B.S. in computer science from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, and an executive MBA in 2008 via Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, Spain. He will report to Yokogawa Corporation America President Chet Mroz.
