Schneider Electric will be working with Lafarge, an international producer of cement, aggregates and concrete, and Saint-Gobain, another global producer of building materials, to help A_PRIORI  Project, a Moscow-based construction developer in Russia, develop energy-efficent homes. The pilot project will include building green houses in the Moscow region. Construction will start next month. Jean-Louis Stasi, president of Schneider Electric Russia, said in a press release announcing the project that combining the experience of Lafarge and Saint-Gobain with Schneider Electric’s experience in developing energy-saving electrical systems will “make this project a showcase of efficiency.” “We believe the best way to generate energy is to save energy,” he said. “We are able to reduce electricity bills up to 30% with our technologies.”

A_PRIORI Project (www.apriori-project.ru) provides design and related services for residential, public and industrial facilities. One area of expertise is designing energy-efficient and passive houses, such as the rendering shown here.
