Trade Service Corp., San Diego, announced that Accubid Systems, Ltd., a provider of business software to electrical and mechanical contractors, has integrated Supplier Xchange, to allow distributors to provide their contractors with customer-specific pricing in real-time.
Accubid is the first business system provider to enable its clients to take full advantage of this new supplier-connectivity from Trade Service. “Being able to obtain timely pricing from suppliers directly in the estimate reduces pricing errors, improves efficiency and increases the chances of winning potentially profitable jobs,” says Giovanni Marcelli, CEO of Accubid Systems, Ltd.
The new interface allows Accubid users to send a list of materials to Supplier Xchange from within their estimating program, and have it matched against their selected supplier's inventory file. Within seconds, their specific pricing is returned to them for direct import into the bid.
Over 1,500 distributor locations are supporting Supplier Xchange, with more being added every day, according to Trade Service. “The strongest demand for Supplier Xchange came from contractors who needed a way to acquire a more realistic level of pricing that could be quickly accessed during bid preparation,” says Tod Moore, vice president of sales and marketing for Trade Service. “We are pleased that Accubid has actively responded to this critical need for their clients.”
Supplier Xchange is a new component of TRA-SER, Trade Service's electronic catalog and pricing service, and is provided at no additional charge to all TRA-SER subscribers as well as to all suppliers who subscribe to Trade Service's electronic pricing services.
