Eaton Buys Ephesus Lighting

Eaton Corp., Cleveland, has purchased Ephesus Lighting Inc., Syracuse, N.Y., to add its LED luminaires for sports venues to its lighting operations, which include the former Cooper Lighting businesses and Crouse-Hinds.

The news website Syracuse.com recently reported that Eaton Corp., Cleveland, has purchased Ephesus Lighting Inc., Syracuse, N.Y., to add its LED luminaires for sports venues to its lighting operations, which include the former Cooper Lighting businesses and Crouse-Hinds. No formal announcement of the acquisition has been made by either company, but Eaton Chairman and CEO Alexander Cutler reported it matter-of-factly deep inside the company’s third-quarter earnings report and said Ephesus’  sales over the last twelve months were $22 million.
