Con Ed says pesky power cable may have caused Metro North commuter nightmare

An Oct. 1 Bloomberg new report says maintenance work during an upgrade project on the Metro-North commuter railroad by the Con Ed utility may have caused the snafu that sent more than 100,000 Connecticut and Westchester, N.Y.,  commuters scrambling for alternatives get to their jobs in the Big Apple. The article said Con Edison expects to completely restore power to the train line by Oct. 7.
