As part its expansion strategy on the West Coast, Platt Electric Supply, Beaverton, Ore., has opened new branch offices in Chehalis, Wash., and Missoula, Mont.

The new branches are part of Platt Electric's strategy to create clusters of branches that share inventory and information to better serve its growing customer base. With the opening of the new locations, Platt Electric will have over 65 branches covering six Western states.Additionally, Platt Electric's "Overnight-Everyday" system will be available to provide customers with next day delivery of hard-to-find items in their local branch office cluster.

Phil Jasperson, an employee of Platt Electric for 14 years, manages the Chehalis, Washington branch office that opened earlier this year employing four full-time employees. The Chehalis office will become a part of Platt Electric's Washington branch cluster, which includes 24 branches. With $289 million in 2002 sales, the company was ranked #17 on
