STANDARD ELECTRIC MAKES TOP 200

Standard Electric, Wilmington, Mass., was incorrectly omitted from this year's Top 200 listing. With estimated 2002 sales of approximately $120 million

Standard Electric, Wilmington, Mass., was incorrectly omitted from this year's Top 200 listing. With estimated 2002 sales of approximately $120 million and 13 locations, Standard Electric would have been among the Top 200's 40 largest electrical distributors.

Additionally, Standard Electric was incorrectly listed as a division of CED in the “2002-2003 acquisitions table” listed on page 24 of the same issue. Standard Electric is not a division of CED. Although the Colburn family that owns CED acquired Standard Electric in November 2002, Standard Electric remains an independent and stand-alone corporation, said Dennis Miller, Standard Electric's chief executive officer.
