Timothy Powers has been elected president and chief executive officer of Hubbell Inc., Orange, Conn., effective July 1. He will also serve on the company's board. He was previously senior vice president and chief financial officer for the company. Powers will succeed G. J. Ratcliffe, who has led Hubbell's senior management since 1987 and who will continue to serve as chairman of the board. Wesson Brown was recently appointed group vice-president of Hubbell Lighting's Platform of businesses, which include Hubbell Lighting Inc., Sterner Lighting, Security Lighting and Devine Lighting.

Missouri Valley Electric Co., Kansas City, Mo., has named Steve Jackson director of sales and marketing. He was previously U.S. national sales and marketing manager for Ensurco Duradek US Ltd. Stefanie Spicer has been promoted to manager of inventory control and information technology. Joe McNerney has been named a sales representative in the commercial and industrial marketplace. He was formerly with Simplex. Ross Greco, who retired in 2000, has returned as a special projects sales coordinator.

Penn-Union Corp., Edinboro, Pa., has appointed Paul Lubowicki purchasing manager. He was formerly purchasing manager at Howard Industries.

Tim Ferrarell has been appointed senior vice president, enterprise systems for W.W. Grainger Inc., Chicago. He was previously vice president of quality and business planning. Jim Ryan, previously president of Grainger.com, has been named executive vice president, marketing and sales.

Tom Naber has been appointed vice president and chief operating officer of the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), St. Louis. These new responsibilities are in addition to his role as publisher of TED magazine.

Bill Marshall, vice president of marketing and product management for Leviton Manufacturing Co. Inc., Little Neck, N.Y., was presented the NAED Associate Award at the April NAED national conference in Washington.

Integrated Electrical Services Inc., Houston, has named John Cosentino Jr. to the company's board of directors. Currently an investor and director of several privately held companies, Cosentino previously was a partner in Capital Resource Partners, Boston.

Colonial Electric Supply, King of Prussia, Pa., has announced the following new employees and promotions: Norm Greenberg, formerly owner of Liberty Lighting, N.J., is now a manager with Colonial. David Bellwoar has been named head of Colonial's new e-commerce division. Bellwoar is also a part-owner of Colonial and has been with the company for 17 years. Joe Perri, formerly Colonial's pricing manager, has been named purchasing manager. Chris Hill, formerly a counter sales specialist at Colonial's King of Prussia location, has been appointed assistant branch manager of Colonial's Philadelphia location. Bob Bachman, formerly an inside sales specialist at Colonial's Warminster location, has been named an inside contractor specialist at Colonial's King of Prussia location. Jeff Kauffman, formerly part of Colonial's gear group, will move to the company's Warminster branch as an inside sales specialist.

Lightolier, Fall River, Mass., has appointed Michelle Troconis marketing manager for Fibre Light U.S. LLC and specialty products division at Lightolier in Union, N.J. Previously, she was marketing manager for Lightolier Controls, Garland, Texas. Aleah Thompson has been named product manager for emergency and exit lighting. She was formerly product line manager for Hazlux.

Wayne Green has been appointed manager of the commercial lighting division at the Boston location for Dominion Electric Supply Co., Arlington, Va. He has been with Dominion since 1965. Dan Sauveur has been named manager of commercial lighting department at the Arlington location. Sauveur has over 30 years experience in the industry.

Richard Crossland has been named chief executive officer of JJI Lighting Group, Greenwich, Conn. He was previously president. He succeeds Robert Haidinger, who is retiring.

American Electric Cable Co., Holyoke, Mass., has appointed William Murphy national accounts manager. He has been with the company for 22 years. James Ayers has been named national sales manager. He was previously regional sales manager for Northwire.

Heyco Products Inc., Toms River, N.J., has named Patrick Carlin national sales manager for molded and stamped product lines. Carlin joined the company in 1996 as the Northeast regional sales manager.

Quanta Services Inc. (Houston): The company elected Terrence Dunn, Louis Golm and Jerry Langdon to the board of directors at its annual meeting. Dunn, a resident of Kansas City, has held his current position of president and chief executive officer of Dunn Industries since 1986. He brings extensive experience in contracting to the Quanta board. Since 1999, Golm has been an independent consultant and senior advisor to the telecommunications and information management industries. He previously served as president of AirTouch International and president and chief executive officer of AT&T-Japan. He is a resident of San Francisco. Langdon has served as the president and chief executive officer of Republic Gas Corp. since 1993, the managing partner and chief operating officer of CARLANG Partners L.P. since 1999, and a principal of the Energy Transfer Group since 1998. He was appointed by President Reagan as a commissioner to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission from 1989 to 1993.

CMAGroup (Raleigh, N.C.): Former IMARK Group and SourceAlliance.com executive David Gordon has founded CMAGroup in Raleigh, N.C. CMA, Gordon said, means “Channel marketing approaches.” Gordon said CMAGroup will work with distribution channels for electrical distributors and manufacturers. Areas of focus in this new venture include customer (distributor, and end-user) marketing and promotional strategies, customer input, brand development, market segmentation, channel development and e-business and e-marketing strategies.
