Last year's ice storms, flood and hurricanes put the emergency preparedness of electrical distributors to the test. To help Pass & Seymour/Legrand distributors be ready for any natural disasters that may occur in the future, the Syracuse, N.Y.-based company is offering participants in its Cornerstone program a seven-days-a-week, 24-hours-a-day Disaster Action plan.

The program allows distributors to reach the Pass & Seymour emergency response team on an 800-telephone number and have their order filled immediately from the nearest Pass & Seymour warehouse at no charge. The plan applies to all products, and no purchase order is required.

"In light of some very severe weather conditions that have struck in the past year, we think it's vital to offer this type of program and further enhance our commitment to our Cornerstone distributors," says Bob Smith, vice president of sales and marketing for Pass & Seymour/Legrand. "Now, even under emergency conditions, our Cornerstone distributors will be able to get our products to their customers."
