Trade Service, San Diego, will offer access to some content from Electrical Wholesaling and Electrical Construction and Maintenance magazines on its new Trade Service Online content and communication portal, also called TRA-SER SX, to be rolled out in January 2009.

“This alliance provides a solid foundation to the industry-news component of Trade Service Online,” said Tod Moore, Trade Service's vice president of sales and marketing. “With Trade Service Online, we're leveraging the Internet to create a new approach to how our customers receive content and how they communicate with their trading partners. Being able to provide direct access to such resources as Electrical Wholesaling's NewsWatch, Top 200, Green News and Source Book; and EC&M's G-Biz, CodeWatch, Product NewsWire, and Top 50 Contractors, really helps round out our offering.”

According to Jim Lucy, chief editor, Electrical Wholesaling, “As the electrical market's leading content provider, we are always looking for new ways to provide electrical distributors, electrical contractors, facility maintenance personnel, independent manufacturers' reps, manufacturers and other industry professionals with the information they need on the job. Providing direct access to some of our most popular content through Trade Service Online is a great fit for us.”

Said David Miller, publisher of both magazines, “EC&M, Electrical Wholesaling and Trade Service have served the distributor and end-user markets for decades. We are both moving aggressively to supplement our legacy print products with exciting new online content. Hundreds of thousands of electrical professionals visit the EC&M and Electrical Wholesaling websites, e-mail newsletters and other online properties each month. Linking our content to Trade Service Online will help us meet and serve even more electrical professionals and provide Trade Service Online with a respected source for information on NEC changes, new products, industry news, analysis and new business opportunities in the green market.”
