Aldana to lead Canadian business for Yokogawa

Yokogawa Electric Corp. named Rene Aldana to be managing director of Yokogawa Canada Inc.

Automation and control manufacturer Yokogawa Electric Corp. named Rene Aldana to be managing director of Yokogawa Canada Inc. effective today. Aldana will be responsible for overseeing all Yokogawa business operations in Canada.

Aldana has close to 20 years of experience in automation solutions for the oil and gas industry. After graduating with a B.S. in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, he joined Valmet, which later became Metso, then Telvent and finally Schneider Electric, where he held roles in customer service, project management and regional business management.  Aldana completed an executive MBA in 2008 via Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, Spain, and was promoted to vice president-oil and gas international, where he was responsible for sales, delivery and customer service, managing Schneider operations in Europe, Latin America, UAE and China.

The company said Aldana’s experience and reputation as a leader in the industrial automation industry, will position Yokogawa to continue expanding its business in the Canadian market. He will report to Yokogawa Corporation America President Chet Mroz.
