Dean Jester has been named president of TradePower, Linthicum Heights, Md. He was formerly executive vice president. Mark Wagner, former president and chief technology officer of TradePower, will continue in his role as chief technology officer.

Pass & Seymour/Legrand, Syracuse, N.Y., has announced the formation of its new network wiring product manager team. John Jarmacz has been promoted to product manager, residential data communications. He has been with the company in a variety of positions. Aria Merlo has been named commercial data communications product manager. She has five years experience as a product manager in the enterprise networking business. Gary Mikula has been named marketing manager, FiberSmart and contractor training programs. He was most recently a director of fiber optics and business manager with Wiremold Interlink Cabling System. Nancy Santana has been promoted to data communications product manager. She has more than 11 years in the telecommunications industry.

Universal Lighting Technologies, Nashville, Tenn., has named Michael Velker vice president of distribution sales. He was previously with EGS Electrical Group.

The electrical division of Southwire Co., Carrollton, Ga., is realigning its distributor sales organization into two key areas: construction and industrial/OEM. The reorganization is part of Southwire's plan to serve a larger national and regional customer base following the acquisition of General Cable's building wire assets on Oct. 31. The Construction Sales Segment directs Southwire and Senator sales efforts targeted to electrical distributors, contractors and end-users involved in residential and commercial construction. Richard Davis, a 30-year veteran of Southwire and former general manager of distributor sales, will serve as the new vice president of construction sales.

John Russell Jr. has been named vice president, automation and solutions for Electric Supply and Equipment Co., Greensboro, N.C. Dana Smith Jr. has been named vice president of sales. Smith was branch manager of the company's Apex location. Russell was manager of the company's marketing and automation group.

In conjunction with a company-wide reorganization, Graybar Electric Co. Inc., St. Louis, has announced a number of new appointments. At the corporate level, Graybar named three executives to new senior vice president positions. Charles Udell, formerly senior vice president of electrical business, was appointed senior vice president of business management. Dennis DeSousa, formerly senior vice president of comm/data business, was named senior vice president of sales and marketing. Golden (Sonny) Harper, formerly vice president of operations, was named senior vice president of operations.

Effective January 1, 2002, Neil Gillespie, Infinity Strategic Consulting, and David Gordon, CMAGroup, will merge their marketing practices and form Channel Marketing Group.

McNaughton-McKay Electric Co., Madison Heights, Mich., has announced that John MacDonald will resign and retire effective Dec. 31. He worked for 40 years in operations for McNaughton-McKay and most recently held the position of corporate vice president of procurement for the company.

Abe Faraj has been appointed president for the new North America operation of SIBA Fuses, Wayne, N.J. He was previously a manager with Ferraz Shawmut.
