Digital Maintenance for Industrial Control Systems
ABB’s Electrical Distribution Control System is a cloud-based tool for electrical power systems that increases operational efficiency and productivity by up to 30%, maximizing uptime for key processes. Additionally, using plug-and-play modules that provide sensing and a direct connection to the cloud, ABB’s solution is fully scalable, enabling customers with multi-site operations to manage and supervise remote locations from anywhere.
Lighting Control Software Dashboard
The new Vive Vue software delivers information about how the building is actually being used, from how much energy is being saved to how often people are using the conference rooms, enabling building operations teams to maximize energy efficiency, space utilization, comfort, and productivity. From a PC, tablet or smart phone, Vive Vue users can control and configure the lights as well as monitor, analyze, and report on the activity and performance of the lighting system in the building.
Designed to install in 2-ft x 2-ft and 2-ft x 4-ft grid ceilings, these troffers are available in 4,000K and 5,000K with a high 80+ CRI. Applications include offices, healthcare, retail and many other commercial applications for new construction and retrofit projects. The new LED Troffer Series from EarthTronics are Design Light Consortium (DLC) and UL-listed. They may be accepted for utility rebates in many markets.
Liquidtight Conduit Fittings
Emerson is targeting the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries with its 4QSS liquidtight fittings featuring 316 stainless steel for dependable performance that will last decades in wet, corrosive locations. Engineered for applications where sanitation is a critical concern and washdowns are frequent, the UL-listed fittings securely connect flexible metallic electrical conduit while completely sealing off liquids, vapors and solids. In addition to sanitary environments 4QSS fittings are well suited for machine tool building, HVAC, robotics assembly and areas rated hazardous by the NEC such as petrochemical processing.
Dimmable T5 LED Lamps
Forest Lighting’s new family of Dimmable T5 LED Lamps are connectable up to 20 feet, making them ideal for cove lighting and similar indirect lighting applications. And because they feature an integrated driver, these T5 LED Lamps qualify as fixtures, and as such can be surface mounted and directly connected to line voltage. They come in 1-ft, 2-ft, 3-ft, and 4-ft lengths for maximum specification flexibility. Certifications include ETL, DLC and NSF. The warranty is five years.
Battery-Powered Ratchet Cutter
The new ESR1000LX ratchet cutter is designed for one-handed operation to help professionals cut cable quickly and easily. The tool delivers a large cutting capacity, allowing operators to cut up to a 1000 kcmil in copper and 1250 kcmil in aluminum. The cutter uses the Makita 18V lithium-ion battery platform
The Constrictor Ground Connector to Steel GCS26 connector is used to ground cable to steel in applications where drilling is either not possible or unwanted. The connectors are suitable for all applications. They accept copper conductor from #6 to 2/0 AWG and a beam thickness from .125-.625” (1/8 to 5/8”) and require no special tooling for installation.
Legrand has now added a 4-inch version of its Evolution Series Poke-Thru Devices to its Wiremold product line. Now including 4-inch, 6-inch, 8-inch and 10-inch versions ranging from 2-gangs to 8-gangs of capacity, each Evolution Poke-Thru Device is designed to bring power, communications and A/V services to open space environments. Devices are recessed below the floor, keeping connections protected yet still easy to access.
The Lex Products PowerData Cable increases the ease and convenience of device interconnection by keeping power and data cables within a common jacket. The wiring design reduces the opportunities for cable tangling and clutter. Combining #12/3 SJOOW and Cat5e cabling allows the PowerData cable to support power connections up to 20A.
Universal Lighting Technologies
The PW Series of programmable LED drivers are available in 20W, 30W, 55W and 80W power levels. They feature programmable output current and relative 1% dimming with optional dim-to-off functionality. Notable programmable features include output current, dimming level, dimming curves and dimming set points. They are designed for linear troffers in open office spaces, conference rooms, suspended luminaires and low ambient industrial luminaires.
