Motor/Drive Combination Package
Siemens recently launched combination motor/drive packages, allowing an OEM or end-user the option to select the optimum solution for a variety of heavy-duty industrial motion control applications from a single source, backed by a full three-year warranty. Choosing from a pre-determined list of motor/drive combinations, the customer simply makes the selection best suited to the application. The motor and drive are packaged on a single pallet, shipped and invoiced together. The motor and drive combinations are power-matched for 480V high-overload operation through a 20 hp range, with I2T protection from thermal damage provided as a standard in both the motor and the drive components. The Siemens Intelligent Operator Panel (IOP) is included with these packages, allowing easy step-by-step drive start-up.
VDV Cable Supports
The MC SnapIt 4-inch 2-circuit metal cable/low voltage stud straps helps meet cable support requirements and eliminate unsightly sagging, while making installing metal-clad cable on metal studs inside a wall fast and easy. The UL-listed polycarbonate straps snap directly on to standard 4-inch studs with no tools. Using SnapIt stud straps saves time because installers no longer have to put down their cable-installing tools to pick up screwdrivers or wire cutters to install other stud strap types like metal clamps and cable ties.
Designed to hold metal-clad (MC) and armored (AC) cable in sizes from 12/2 through 10/3, SnapIt also includes clips for low-voltage cable. SnapIt withstands harsh environments and is suitable for indoor use, with maximum operating temperature rated at 176°F (80°C). The product is also available in 2-inch and 6-inch versions.

LED Work Lights
The all-new Bayco SL-1500 Series LED Work Lights each crank out 2,200 lumens of light from a single LED, with one model producing 4,400 lumens using two fixtures on a 6-foot tripod stand. Designed to be small and durable, the SL-1500 series lights are constructed with a rear multi-fin heat sink that keeps the fixtures cool to the touch while still possessing the ability to be tilted and swiveled independently, allowing the user to position the fixture exactly where light is needed. Each work light has a tempered glass lens and is powder-coated for long-wear durability. The comfort-grip handles makes transporting and positioning these work lights intuitive and convenient.
Hydraulic Cable Puller
With over 10 tons (100 kN) of pulling force, the Condux Tesmec ARS607 cable puller offers industry-leading features like a negative self-acting hydraulic brake, an integrated hydraulic dynamometer, a hydraulic cooling system, advanced user controls and more. A standard electronic pull and speed monitor and recorder kit is integrated into the control panel, providing users real time data on pulling operations. Bull-wheel grooves on the ARS607 are made from heat-treated steel.
The new Digitrip RMS 210+ electronic trip unit is integrated in an F-frame molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) and provides easy setup, to ensure coordination and reliable protection for electrical systems in commercial, industrial and machinery manufacturing environments. Designed to fit FDE-frame MCCBs, the new trip unit offers electronic trip unit functionality in an economic platform. Detailed time current curves are available for download from Eaton’s website and through electrical system coordination software packages.
“Commercial, industrial and manufacturing customers need reliable equipment to improve uptime and keep facilities running,” said Manuel Fernandez, product manager, Eaton. “The new 210+ electronic trip units fill this need in a small, low-cost device, without sacrificing ease of installation or adjustability.” The trip units are available in 100A, 150A or 225A MCCB frames, and are Underwriters Laboratory (UL) 489 and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) listed.
GE’s Automation & Control business recently launched its new, enhanced RSTi-EP input/output (I/O) device, providing a new combination of performance and maintainability in a minimal footprint. The modular, flexible, high-density solution offers industry-leading I/O connectivity and usability in a footprint smaller than any other I/O device available today. The RSTi-EP device features I/O slices that are just 11.5 millimeters wide (promoted as the narrowest available in the industry today), enabling it to fit into the most compact layouts while remaining easy to access and use.
The device features improved performance and response time with its high-speed system bus reading up to 256 discrete I/O points in 20 microseconds. It also features an increased capacity of up to 1024 I/O points per drop. In addition, the modular RSTi-EP unit provides performance and diagnostics capabilities akin to GE’s popular VersaMax Modular product line. The RSTi-EP I/O device allows a connected controller to know and affect the current state of the process or application being controlled by providing a networked interface for control systems to connect to the real world via sensors and actuators. With it, failures in systems can be identified at the control center as opposed to the operator having to go out to the factory floor for problem diagnosis.

Bent Conduit Cart
Greenlee’s Bent Conduit Cart, an adjustable and foldable storage and transportation cart, is specifically designed for pre-fabrication applications. The cart eliminates the use of custom pallets by delivering bent conduit to a jobsite on an upright cart, allowing for easier loading and unloading and reducing the possibility of conduit damage during transportation.
The Bent Conduit Cart fits through 36-inch doorways, and features 6-inch high performance non-marking casters to prevent damage to floors. The cart can be folded and stacked for shipping and storage and allows the user to adjust the six arms to accommodate offsets, saddles, and kicks of any size. Each arm has a capacity of holding 500 pounds of material.
All-Purpose Pliers with Crimper
The All-Purpose Pliers with Crimper combines the functions of a wire stripper, long-nose pliers and crimper in one tool. It cuts and strips 10-18 AWG solid and 12-20 AWG stranded wire; grabs and loops wire; includes shearing holes for 6-32 and 8-32 screws; crimps non-insulated connectors, lugs and terminals and has induction-hardened cutting knives for long life. “Multi-functional tools, like the All-Purpose Pliers with Crimper, are becoming more popular among electricians,” says product manager David Klein. “These products save time, save money, and save space on the belt or in the bag, making them more efficient and effective tools.”
Dual-Cable Armored Solution
Southwire’s new MC-PCS Duo Cable provides an all-in-one solution by combining power conductors along with control/signal/data cables all under one armor. This reduces a contractor’s installation costs when compared to pulling multiple cables separately. The MC-PCS Duo Cable is available in solid or stranded conductors and is ideal for use with LED or fluorescent lighting with dimming controls in commercial, industrial, institutional, multi-family residential and smart buildings. It provides complete circuit identification directly on the aluminum or steel armor or PVC jacket, identifying the cable as type MC-PCS as well as conductor gauges and colors. The cable is compliant with UL 1569 and NEC articles 330 and 725.
Cable Tray Splice Adaptor
The T&B Cable Tray Over-Support Splice Adaptor reduces costs by reducing the need for structural supports for the expansion of beams and struts. “The Over-Support Splice Adaptor was originally designed to reduce the number of supports needed for expansion of modular aluminum beam and strut system assemblies,” said Ralph Donati, product marketing director at T&B. “Engineers, contractors and end users have found that it contributes to cost reductions without sacrificing the assembly’s structural integrity.” The T&B Cable Tray Over-Supper Splice Adaptor is placed below the expansion joint and allows for wider distribution of support, thereby minimizing stress and deflection on the assembly. No additional supports are required.
