Lutron Electronics Co., Inc., Coopersburg, Pa., has a new program to encourage its distributors to boost profits by offering contractors upgrades to their lighting systems. The Contractor Upgrade Program is designed to enhance each contractor's place of business and expand their Lutron sales.

Lutron invites distributors to work with their top contractors and customers to upgrade the lighting control system in each contractor's conference or training room with new, efficient Lutron technologies — thereby transforming their workplace into a sales tool.

Several Lutron product lines qualify for the program, including Vierti architectural-style dimmers, GRAFIK Eye QS lighting and shade controls and Hi-lume 3D fluorescent dimming ballasts (and other fluorescent dimming ballasts and controls).

Lutron encourages distributors to install these controls in the contractor's space, and then hold a training session to ensure that the contractor is familiar with the product's features and benefits. Each contractor upgrade will include an engraved faceplate identifying the installed products as compliments of the distributor.
