SolarWorld to Expand Oregon PV Factory

SolarWorld, Portland, Ore., announced that in 2015 it would add a solar-panel production line in its Hillsboro, Ore., factory to bring the panel-assembly facility’s capacity up to 530MW and expand advanced cell production capacity by 100 MW. The investment would add 200 jobs. SolarWorld’s $10 million expansion of the facility will bring the company’s total investment in Oregon to about $630 million.
