Crum to open first branch in Utah

Capitalizing on an opportunity to move into the expanding Salt Lake City market, Crum Electric Supply opened a new branch in North Salt Lake, Utah, on July 31. The new Utah location brings the total number of Crum Electric Supply branches to 12, with locations in five states. The new branch will be managed by Bill Huntzinger, who comes to Crum Electric Supply with more than 35 years experience in Salt Lake City's electrical wholesaling industry.

Granite City Electric Supply opens 20th location

Granite City Electric Supply Co., Quincy, Mass., opened a new location in Hartford, Conn. — representing the company's 20th location. President Steve Helle said Hartford has always been a target for Granite City Electric and that the company is excited about expanding its presence in New England and serving the Hartford market. The company will offer the same service packages that exist at its other locations. This includes overnight “night train” delivery and 24-hour emergency service. Granite City Electric ranked No. 73 in Electrical Wholesaling's 2006 Top 200 listing with $92 million in sales and 235 employees.
