Fromm Electric Supply, Reading, Pa., announced the opening of a new branch in Scranton, Pa. Fromm operates eight other branches in central and eastern Pennsylvania. The Scranton location, managed by local industry veteran Thomas Manley, will initially serve commercial and residential contractors, as well as institutional facilities. The company plans to launch its industrial sales effort in the Scranton market in early 2008.
Fromm utilized low interest financing programs offered by the city of Scranton and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance to acquire and renovate a 22,500-square-foot facility that will serve as both a full-service branch and a regional distribution center supplying additional branches currently being developed in surrounding markets.
Founded in 1958, Fromm Electric is third-generation family owned and operated.
