Graybar, St. Louis, is looking out for electrical engineers and their interest in electric vehicles. The distributor donated an electric vehicle charging station to the IEEE Operations Center in Piscataway, N.J. The charging station, supplied by Leviton, will provide employees of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers a place to charge their electric vehicles while at work.

“Graybar is committed to positively impacting the environment through our implementation and distribution of green technologies, and this donation is one small way we can help further the cause,” said Rick Harvey, Graybar's New York district vice president. “It's only fitting that one of the first charging stations in central New Jersey is affiliated with an organization such as IEEE that is dedicated to advancing technological innovation.”

The EV charging station was unveiled at a ceremony with representatives from Graybar, Leviton and IEEE in attendance, followed by an event that featured an EV on display and opportunities to learn more about this technology.
