Summit Hosts Another Full House Grand Opening

Summit Electric Supply, Albuquerque, opened its 50,000-square-foot Jacksonville, Fla., service center with a casino-themed Full House Giveaway in April that drew about 250 participants. Two of the company's customers won brand new Suzuki ATVs.

The impact on business was immediate, says Service Center Leader John Truss. “The event allowed us to showcase our new facility and inventory to our customer base,” he says. “Some people placed purchase orders that night, they were so impressed with the event. We've had lots of activity, lots of new accounts, already.”

Representatives from 25 leading manufacturers participated. Guests needed to have their attendance cards stamped by each vendor in order to be in the ATV giveaway drawing. The winners were T.J. Harris of Hinson Electric and Don Carlson of Lin's Electric.

Hagemeyer Holds Grand Opening in Raleigh

Hagemeyer hosted a Grand Re-Opening of its Raleigh, N.C., location last month to celebrate the renovation of its contractor counter. The new facility features a 3,000 square-foot area that includes product displays and a customer counter, and a 30,000 square-foot warehouse stocking thousands of products.

“We are very excited about the renovation of our Raleigh facility,” says Chris Union, executive vice president, Contractor & Installer segment. “Our remodeled facility is designed around our new innovative self-service counter model, allowing customers to get in and out quickly.”

The celebration was to include prize drawings throughout the event (including grills, LCD TV, iPods, gas cards, tools, Proto race tickets, gift cards, hats, t-shirts and more), and more than 25 representatives from manufacturers demonstrating hundreds of new products.
