Illinois Contractor Rides the Prize

The roar of the engine is the sweet sound of victory for Dave Kosirog, owner of CDK Electric in Carol Stream, Ill. Kosirog was the grand-prize winner of the Extra Mile contest, hosted by Universal Lighting Technologies, Nashville, Tenn. His reward was a brand new Softail Heritage Harley-Davidson motorcycle from Boswell's Harley-Davidson in Nashville.

Kosirog was one of eight finalists who won a free road trip to Nashville for a two-night vacation in the country music capital of the world, courtesy of Universal Lighting Technologies. All eight finalists were invited to dinner at Nashville's Harley Grille, where each received at random a key that might start an $18,000 motorcycle. Appropriately, the contest happened to fall on Kosirog's birthday — perhaps the ultimate birthday present.

“Congratulations and happy birthday to Dave Kosirog!” said Susan Phillips, marketing manager for Universal Lighting. “We are thrilled to reward our loyal customers and distributors with the opportunity for free gifts and vacations, and this amazing Harley-Davidson motorcycle may be our most exciting prize yet.”
