Savannah, GA, becomes the fifth Georgia city to commit to achieving 100% renewable energy by 2050, joining the cities of Athens, Atlanta, Augusta and Clarkston, according to a recent report from Electrek. City council members unanimously approved the resolution and plan to adopt an action plan within 18 months.
Currently, Savannah is only at 6% renewable electricity, with interim targets of 30% by 2025 and 50% by 2030.
