NESCO, Canton, Mass., has acquired Detroit-based Deco Lighting Design. Deco Lighting Design has a strong customer base and a successful track record working with national retail accounts, NESCO said. Deco Lighting's Founder and President David Ely joins the NESCO national accounts division as a senior account executive and will continue to be based in Detroit. Ely has more than 25 years of experience in the lighting industry.

Joseph A. Cincotta, CEO and president of NESCO, said Ely's experience in providing total lighting solutions to national accounts would be instrumental in accelerating NESCO's growth.

NESCO, with approximately 125 employees and six locations, ranks as the nation's 107th biggest electrical distributor, according to Electrical Wholesaling's 2006 listing of the Top 200.
